Well, thank gawd for that. I finally fnished the RTX upgrade about half an hour ago.
That took some time and effort but it all looks great now.
There is now a brand new download system for Premium image sets that is dead easy to use.
So, everything is done for now. The upgrade is completed and I can sit back and relax for a while. I hope visitors will enjoy the all new RetroTimes.
RetroTimes Extra now finished
•September 30, 2009 • Leave a CommentMain RetroTimes site completed
•September 21, 2009 • Leave a CommentFinally… The main RetroTimes pages are now back up. Re-designed, looking all shiny and with lots of new content and a swish new image viewer.
Took me 5 days in total – sorry for anyone that has been waiting on it, but it was a lot of work.
Now working on the RetroTimes Extra pages with new large/high resolution image sets plus other new stuff.
For now, I hope you like and will enjoy the new Retrotimes…
Main Index now live
•September 16, 2009 • Leave a CommentThe main Index/Menu page is now finished and is live on the site. I am reasonably happy with the design although, as with all things, not completely happy-but, it is certainly good enough for now and gives access to most areas of the site.
The Main RetroTimes home page and images are still offline as those are the pages that I am currently working on. This will take a while-probably a few days-as I need to sort out all the images, thumbnails etc for all the new stuff.
Will post again when that is completed.
Getting started
•September 16, 2009 • Leave a CommentThe main RetroTimes pages have been offline for some time for various reasons that I will not expand on here. The site(s) are also long overdue for a re-write and a new design (just ‘cos I like to do it every so often). I have also been restoring lots more new images (large and high resolution) to add to RetroTimes Extra (RTX hereafter). So, for those of you who know the site and its content, you can look forward to some great new stuff in the very near future.
Today I started on the basics, re-designing the front page and adjusting various text and links that either needed adding or subtracting. I am using new web design software so it is quite slow going atm (I upgraded from Dreamweaver 8 to CS4), but I am getting there.
I then got side-tracked to set up this blog, as I thought it would be a good idea to have some form of update or information on what is happening with the site.
I will probably play around with this for a bit longer, setting stuff up, and then get back to the re-write.
Welcome

Welcome to the new RetroTimes Blog which, in the first instance, will serve as information for the new upgrades to the site(s) and, thereafter, I will attempt to add stuff on various topics about the site and its contents.
If you have never visited the site before then you can visit it here:

If you like retro and vintage glamour then I’m sure you will enjoy it.
